What is Kalemdaş?

The pen-and-paper games we played at the back of a notebook, brought to everyone's pocket with one link.

The word kalem means a pen, and the ending -daş is the one in arkadaş, yoldaş and sırdaş, a friend, a companion and a confidant: Kalemdaş (ka·lem·daş) is those who share a pen. The logo says it too: two dots for two people, one pen between them and a smile they share below.

What we promise

  • A quick start: no account, no download. Open a game, share the link, play.
  • Laughter made together: everyone writes on their own phone, then it's all read together.
  • Room for everyone: no scores and no ranking in the peaceful mode; hearts and a badge for everyone.

Who makes it

Kalemdaş is made by Utopical Dev in Türkiye, a small software studio. Write to us on the contact page with your ideas, the bugs you find and the games you'd like to see.

In English, say Kalemdaş kah-lem-dash and read it as “pen pal”, literally “pen-mate”.
