Word Search with friends, or alone

A word search needs no explaining: everyone has done one in a newspaper. Here the whole table hunts the same grid at once, each on their own phone, wherever they are.

Opening a game

Press New game, pick a name, and send the link to your friends; they join from it in their own browser, with no account and no download. You start the game once everyone is in, and anyone with the link can join while a seat is free.

The choices

• The mode: peaceful, one grid the table hunts together, or competitive, everyone alone with points.
• The theme: animals, the sea, the city, the kitchen, nature and more, or mixed, a theme for each round.
• The grid and how many words it hides: a small grid for a quick round, a big one with up to fifty words for a long hunt.
• The directions: easy for children and newcomers, normal with the diagonals, hard with every direction.
• The rounds and their time, from one minute to fifteen, under Other settings.

On a phone

The grid fills the screen whatever its size, so a big grid has small letters: pinch with two fingers to zoom in, and mark with one. A small grid is the comfortable choice on a small phone.

Playing alone

No friends at hand? Play a grid alone, with the same choices, against the clock: at the end you see every word you found and every one you missed. Nothing is kept. Play alone
